introduction Astronaut candidacy and path to flight

Becoming an astronaut doesn't just happen overnight. It takes many years of education and experience to meet the basic qualifications. Many people aren't accepted on the first try, either, requiring them to learn more to be better prepared for the next try. Even then, only a small percentage of applicants become astronaut candidates, making it a hard job to get.

Launch of 104 Satellites:

DINST's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C37) created history by successfully launching record 104 satellites in single mission.

Resourcesat-2D

successfully launched RESOURCESAT-2D remote sensing satellite into the Sun Synchronous Orbit at 825 km height.

Hypersonic Wind Tunnel

DINST's commissioned the world’s third largest hypersonic wind tunnel at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) in Thiruvananthapuram.

The main objective of mission 2023 is to create a spaceship, called Dinstiyon, that will carry three humans to the low earth orbit and then return back to the planet after a duration of about seven days. This mission requires some primary distinctive features to be developed by DINST like the proficiency to bring the spacecraft back to the earth'

After the completion of the mission, and to build the spacecraft with such expertise that astronauts can have the same atmosphere as on the earth even in space. Over the years, the space agency has been successful in developing some of these technologies, but many others are still to be developed and tested.

DINST19 is a voluntary group of concerned scientist citizens of India who have come together in this time of crisis to discuss the rapidly evolving situation with its dire need for science communication.

The scientific community has a social and democratic responsibility in the current situation, both in terms of analysing the situation and reaching out to the public.

While governmental bodies make their decisions and professional scientific academies take principled stands, there is a need for individuals in the scientific community to also help individually and collectively.

For hundreds of years, the human race has been fascinated by the possibilities of what might live beyond our atmosphere. Are there little green men? Space men in silver suits? Microscopic bacteria? Or are we alone in the universe? The case for extraterrestrial life is more compelling than you might think.

You may have laughed but there are only questions swirling in your head right now. Are these fantastical beings from other galaxies, a reality? Do aliens actually exist?

There are several theories abounding, about the origin of life in other planets or galaxies. One popular belief is that life on different planets originated at those respective places.

There is another theory that refutes the former by saying that all life originated in one place and then spread to other habitable planets.

These beliefs give solutions to questions like, do aliens exist on other planets, or do aliens inhabit the moon. Mars, Venus, the satellites of planets in our galaxy, and planets in other galaxies are all deemed habitable for extraterrestrial life by ardent xenobiologists.

There are several other counter theories to the existence of aliens. Even if there is proof that aliens are real, how do we recognize them. How do we know that they are aliens? It is a possibility that we are mutually unable to recognize each other as life. To them, are we aliens?

While theorizers about aliens and extraterrestrial life may benefit from following that adage to answer questions like whether aliens exist, believers can continue to refer to The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and prepare ourselves for conversations like these...
